Moms & Neighbors was started at Red Pine Elementary School by a group of mothers concerned about a family in their community. Over 10 years later, our group is still made up of Moms that want to serve others and make a difference in the lives of our Neighbors in District 196.
As Moms, we know that our kids have needs of all sizes, both big and small. The same is true for the students and families that Moms & Neighbors serves. Some needs are big, like help with rent or car payments, and some needs are small, like a new pair of shoes or a warm winter coat. But, all of them have one thing in common: They are all needs that Moms & Neighbors can meet with help from our supporters.
On May 8, we are asking you to help us meet the Big & Small needs in our community. There are two ways to get involved:
-
- Help us meet a Big need by donating online. Any amount you can give will go to families and teens in our community that need help with rent, groceries, or other necessities during a time of unexpected need.
- Help us meet a Small need by purchasing a $20 gift card to Walmart, Cub, or Target. These gift cards will be distributed to school counselors to give to families and teens in need.
Gift cards can be dropped off at Eagan High School or Eastview High School on Saturday, May 8, from 9-11 a.m. You can also purchase gift cards online from our gift registry at Target or Walmart, and they will be delivered directly to us.
Thank you for supporting Moms & Neighbors!
